40th Anniversary Pro-Life Pilgrimage to Walsingham
The 40th Anniversary Pro-life Pilgrimage to Walsingham will be led by Bishop David Oakley of Northampton Diocese. When started there was just one coach from London, now several come from many parts of England, with pilgrims numbering between 800 to 1400 year to year.
Bishop Marcus (who led this Pilgrimage in 2020) hopes that in this Year of Prayer and preparation for the 2025 Jubilee across the Universal Church, many of the faithful and clergy from our own Diocese will be able to travel as ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ to Walsingham: England’s National Catholic Shrine of Our Lady, who is Mother of God, Mother of the Church, and Mother of us all.
Visit the News Pages of our Diocese of Leeds Jubilee 2025 website for more information from the Pilgrimage’s national organisers Christopher and Margaret Langley about the urgent need for pilgrimage and prayer to emphasise the Sanctity of Human Life from conception until natural death.
