Environment and Conservation

The first in-person meeting of the Northern Dioceses Environmental Group since the start of the pandemic will be hosted by our Diocesan Justice & Peace Commission at Wheeler Hall (Leeds Cathedral) on Thursday 8 June 2023 between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

There will be contributions from:
* Jean Paul de Quay, one of the authors of the Journey to 2030 resource being used in the Arundel & Brighton Diocese
* Helen Hayden, Executive member of Leeds City Council with responsibility for the Climate Emergency.

The Group comprises dioceses in the North of England, meeting together a few times a year to share ideas, progress and best practice in sustainability and addressing Climate Change. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in this – and you are welcome to join for either the morning or afternoon session or for the whole day, including lunch, so it is necessary to register (free of charge) via Eventbrite:
