Environment and Conservation

John Paul de Quay’s website Journey to 2030 is coordinated by The Ecological Conversion Group. Founded in 2017, inspired by the Holy Father’s 2015 encyclical letter Laudato Si’, the Group set out to work to help the Church put it into practice. Now a registered Charity, the Group works with many social and environmental networks, both in the UK and abroad. A major focus for the charity is to encourage an understanding of ‘integral ecology’ – that is, the fact that the The Cry of the Poor and the Cry of the Earth are inextricably linked and the communities suffering most from climate change, which consumerism and greed are driving, are some of the poorest and most vulnerable on earth!

Why not make this Jubilee Year a time of Hope in YOUR school, parish or community by living more simply and sustainably?

The Journey to 2030 Parish Poster Activity Pack Building a Caring Community may be ordered in hard copy for £15 (or whatever the parish can afford), or there is a downloadable version for £10. The pack features John Paul de Quay’s colourful drawings and helps focus on making an integrated community response to concern for nature, justice for the poor, commitment to society, and interior peace!
