Our Readers reflect …
Hema Behera – Jesus Walks on Water (14:22-33)
Who or what in the passage draws your attention?
It was the reaction of Peter that caught my attention! He started off, focusing completely on Jesus who called out to him to do the impossible and obeyed without any restrain.
What do you find most challenging in this passage?
Peter suddenly realised that he is actually doing the impossible and fell into self-doubt. The greatest challenge is to make THAT leap of faith in Jesus in carrying out God’s Will, during our hardest times.
Which part of this passage brings you encouragement, comfort, or hope?
Even after Peter doubting God’s Will and His Commands, Jesus still reached out to save Peter, at the very moment Peter cried out to Jesus. It is our greatest HOPE to know that Jesus will answer us, each time we ask of His Divine intervention, in spite of our weaknesses.
