Each episode of The Mark 10 Mission is made up of 5 key elements (1) Welcome from a host (2) The reading of the Sunday Gospel (3) A reflection unpacking the Scripture (4) A time of guided prayer (5) A song of worship. Click here.
Produced by Clare Amos for Churches Together, this free resource is ideal for parish groups meeting throughout Lent.

Sunday of the Word of God (3rd Sun in Ordinary Time – 26th Jan 2020)
Pope Francis has recently issued an Apostolic Letter instituting a “Sunday of the Word of God” which dedicates the 3rd Sunday in Ordinary Time as an occasion for the whole Church to celebrate God’s Word in the Liturgy.
For ideas on how parishes might celebrate this new initiative, the Irish Bishops’ Conference has produced a resource. Practical suggestions include (1) Commissioning of Readers (2) Using the homily to preach on the importance of the Bible (3) Incorporating an “Enthronement of the Word of God” element e.g. Proclaiming the Gospel in the Nave (4) Special Bidding Prayers (5) Asking the congregation to bring their Bibles so they can be blessed during Mass. A form of blessing prayer can be found here.
