Diocesan Gold Medal Presented at Christ the King

On Sunday 6 October, during Mass at Christ the King Church in Bramley, Father Neil Byrne presented parishioner Mollie Jackson with the Diocesan Gold Medal in recognition of her fifty years’ service in the parish of Christ the King and latterly in the parish of Christ the King and Holy Family.

Mollie is a model of faith in action. Over the years she has helped to prepare many children and young people to receive the Sacraments and has been actively involved in both parish schools.

She is a member of the Readers Team and runs a weekly Rosary prayer group in her home.

Mollie has supported many disadvantaged people in the community through her tireless work with the SVP.

In addition, the parish has benefited greatly from her skills in fundraising.

We all congratulate her on this well-deserved award!
