Dewsbury’s Exam Successes

The students and staff of St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the Blessed Peter Snow Multi Academy Trust, are celebrating a significant improvement in the school’s GCSE performance after the results were announced on Thursday 22 August.

On the Government’s principal measure of success, the combined English and Maths GCSE measure, the school’s results for 2019 were 18% up on last year, which now takes the school above national levels.

St John Fisher’s Deputy Head Sarah Wilkinson said, ‘I am extremely proud of all our students’ results which will enable them to progress and go on to achieve in whatever they choose to do in their Sixth Form studies. The rising number of students achieving the combined English and Maths measure is testament to the high quality teaching and learning in the school. I would like to congratulate our students, parents and staff for all their hard work.’

Here are some very happy St John Fisher students celebrating their own individual GCSE successes. Many congratulations to one and all!
