Our warmest congratulations go to our Seminarian, Sean Elliott, who was Ordained Deacon by Bishop Marcus at St Malachy’s Church in Halifax on Thursday 29 April 2021. The Bishop was assisted by Permanent Deacon John Walsh, Fr Benjamin Hilton and Fr Sean Crawley.
The Ordination was attended by many parishioners at the Parish of St Columba and St Malachy where Sean has been assisting Parish Priest Mgr Michael McQuinn over the past year, after studying at the Venerable English College in Rome.
Concelebrating at Mass were Mgr McQuinn, Dean of Halifax Fr Martin Kelly, Mgr David Smith, Vocations Director Fr Stephen Webb and Canon Ian Smith from Ripon who has been Sean’s Spiritual Director for the past twelve years.
