Cathedral Mass TONIGHT to commemorate those we have loved and lost in the pandemic

November is the month when we commemorate and pray for all the faithful departed.

TONIGHT (Saturday 6 November) at 6pm Bishop Marcus will celebrate Mass at Leeds Cathedral for the souls of all those who died during the pandemic and for the comfort of all who mourn them.

The Mass will also be livestreamed via our YouTube Channel, Leeds Cathedral Livewww.leedscathedrallive.org.uk

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

… and to help all those mourning the recent loss of a loved one and faced with arranging a Catholic funeral for them, Bishop Marcus has compiled a resource which he has distributed to all our clergy. It is intended that the Bishop’s Guide to Catholic Funeral Rites in the Diocese of Leeds  will also be shared with local funeral directors. In addition, the Guide contains a form through which we can leave instructions for our own Catholic Funeral Liturgy.  Along with many other frequently asked questions, it is available to view and download on this website via our How do I …? page, under ‘How do I arrange a Catholic Funeral?’
