A message from Deacon Joe Cortis, Co-ordinator for Caritas Leeds
Following on from the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement on the 17 November, Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN) issued the attached statement, pressing an urgent need to re-visit a number of key points within the Autumn Statement to address the impact of the cost of living especially on the most vulnerable in our society.
This statement also urges individuals to write to your local Member of Parliament. As the coordinator of Caritas Leeds, I have written to all MPs of constituencies within the boundary of our Diocese about this issue, but it is important that MPs hear the message directly from their own constituents.
