From Tuesday 20 May until after the 11am Mass on Sunday 25 May, the Icon commissioned by CAFOD which has been adopted as the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales’s official Jubilee Icon will be at Leeds Cathedral.
It will form the focus of the schools’ liturgy at the Good Shepherd Celebration on Wednesday, which is attended by children from Catholic schools across the Diocese, who have raised finds for the work of Catholic Care-Caritas Leeds.
The Icon is being displayed at each Catholic Cathedral in turn: it was previously in Plymouth Diocese and will be moving on to Northampton Diocese on Sunday.
