Long standing parish stalwarts Joseph and Margaret Yewdall from St Mary’s, Bradford have been awarded Diocesan Gold Medals for their hard work and dedication over more than 50 years in the parish.
Firstly at St Columba’s when it was a parish in its own right, selling raffle tickets at every opportunity, running the parish piety stall, and the ‘bonus ball’ – and then latterly taking on setting up the Parish Food Bank!
Both Joseph and Margaret are also Readers and Eucharistic Ministers, and Margaret especially is still very much active in parish life.
