Boots on for Bradford!

It’s that time of the year again, when walkers of all ages and experience can either get their ‘Boots on for Bradford’ in the Annual One and Three Peaks Challenge – or join the walkers ‘in spirit and sponsorship’!

The sponsored hike to support the work of Bradford’s St Patrick’s Mission takes place on Saturday 6 August 2022. It is organised by the Friends of St Patrick’s Mission, with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal. Work at St Patrick’s Mission includes the Friars’ support for the homeless at the Mission, providing daily Mass and a place for prayer and contemplation for those visiting or working in Bradford’s city centre, and St Patrick’s Mission Church is also where Mass in the Extraordinary Form is celebrated every Sunday.

The Peak Challenge includes the option of two sponsored walks in the Yorkshire Dales:

The full THREE Peak Challenge is to make the full 26 mile journey, beginning at Horton in Ribblesdale across the three highest peaks in Yorkshire in under 12 hours.

The ONE Peak Challenge is for those who prefer a shorter ‘challenge’, including some of St Patrick’s Mission’s younger supporters. This starts from Ribblehead Viaduct and completes a circuit up Whernside, one of the highest peaks in Yorkshire.

ALL are welcome to take part in the walk over either One or Three of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales.
