Bishop’s Pastoral Message Designating Catholic Care as Caritas Leeds

Bishop Marcus has written a Pastoral Message designating Catholic Care as Caritas Leeds in future. This will be made available in churches over the next few weekends:

The Bishop has thanked Rev Dcn Dr Joseph Cortis for his outstanding work in setting up and co-ordinating Caritas Leeds. Dcn Joe compiled an October 2022 Report on the past six years’ achievements of Caritas Leeds, which include, amongst many other things, setting up the following:

• The Bishop’s Youth Leadership Group, ‘The Twelve’.
• The Dementia Group
• The Disabilities Group
• The Criminal Justice Forum and Report
