With our churches closed, Bishop Marcus has written a Pastoral Letter to the people of the Diocese on the occasion of Remembrance Sunday. In his letter the Bishop reflects not only on the remembrance of the war dead but on the often difficult situation facing those of the World War II generation at the present time, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. He also commends the work being done in the parishes by both clergy and laity to support people in need at the present time, “giving light in times and places when it is needed most”.
