The Slipper Chapel statue of Our Lady of Walsingham visited Leeds Cathedral at the beginning of November as part of the preparations for the rededication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020.
Photographs of the Dowry Tour events at the Cathedral on 7, 8 & 9 November can be found here: https://www.patricksicephotography.co.uk/blog/dowry-tour
As a memento of the visit Bishop Marcus has presented the Cathedral with a new hand carved replica of the Slipper Chapel statue, which was displayed for the first time at the weekend following the departure of the Dowry Tour.
