Over the weekend of 27 and 28 November, Bishop Marcus visited the Parishes of Christ the King and Holy Family in West Leeds.
During his Visitation he Confirmed the young people from both parishes at the Vigil Mass for the First Sunday in Advent in Holy Family Church and celebrated Sunday Mass at Christ the King Church.
At the end of Sunday Mass the Bishop congratulated the Head of School and staff of Christ the King Catholic Primary School on their recent successful Ofsted inspection. Bishop Marcus met with the Executive Headteachers, Heads of School and Chairs of Governors of both schools and, of course, with Parish Priest, Father Neil Byrne. Bishop Marcus recognised the hard work that Father Neil had put into both parishes in challenging circumstances since he arrived in 2019 and commended his leadership.
