Accolade for Leeds Catholic Primary Schools

Congratulations to our schools’ staff, leaders and pupils whose dedication and hard work has put them into the TOP TEN primary schools in Leeds.

St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Burmantofts
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Hunslet
Holy Rosary and St Anne’s Primary Voluntary Academy in Chapeltown
St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School in Beeston

According to figures published in the Yorkshire Evening Post the latest results from the Sunday Times Good Schools Guide show that FOUR of our Catholic schools and academies are in the top ten best primary schools in the city, with six out of the ten being faith schools.

John Hutchinson who is the current Interim Executive Head Teacher of St Joseph’s in Hunslet and St Theresa’s in Crossgates said: “I am so delighted for all these schools and their respective communities. This is the culmination of many, many years of hard work and dedication by everyone in these schools but most especially the young people who will have shown resilience, fortitude and perseverance to achieve what they have, often in very challenging circumstances. For four of the top ten schools to be from our Catholic family in Leeds is just fabulous: well done to everyone in all these wonderful schools and their families. Super proud!”
