The life of Sir Thomas Gascoigne (1745-1810), who resided at Parlington Hall and who was instrumental in establishing the Benedictine mission at Aberford, is the subject of what promises to be a fascinating talk being given by his biographer, Dr Alexander Lock, at Lotherton Hall near Leeds on Friday of this week, 5 July.
