A Day with John Bell at Leeds Trinity University

YEAR OF THE WORD – LITTLE VOICES, BIG DIFFERENCE: Jesus, Justice and Joy

Saturday 4 April 10:15 – 16:15 at Leeds Trinity University

Does going to Church seem disconnected from the rest of your life? All are welcome to come along to this inspiring day with John Bell of the Iona community, who comments “Where people seldom sense the power of scripture and song in their liturgical life as it reflects or responds to the realities of lived life, we need to recapture the sight of a God who so loves the world that in Jesus he becomes part of its mirth, mess, and madness”  This day has been organised by the Justice & Peace Commission.  It is free to attend (voluntary collection taken). Please, if possible, bring some food along to share with others at lunchtime.

John Bell is a liturgist who gives days like this across the world to communicate his passion for making liturgy a real expression of people’s lives and linked to how we should be living them. He regularly contributes to Radio 4’s ‘Thought for the Day’.

Though free, this event is already proving popular and it is essential to book a place via our Eventbrite page.
