The new Safeguarding Co-ordinator from 1 August 2008 is Ms Suzanne Mitchell. She is a registered social worker with more than 20 years' experience of working within social care services including, most recently, working with both children and vulnerable adults in Bradford Social Services. She has previously worked with the School and Community Team at Catholic Care here in Leeds Diocese. The former Co-ordinator Stuart Hanlon has latterly taken responsibility for Training and Consultancy. He was the Director of Catholic Care for many years and now has various advisory responsibilities in both the Diocese of Leeds and the Diocese of Hallam.
Ms Lisa Markham is now approaching the end of her part-time appointment to the Diocese, and returning to her post in Hallam Diocese. We are very grateful for all the hard work that she has done for us since January this year, and she leaves with all our best wishes.
The post of Administrator supports the work of the Co-ordinator. Stephen Hanslip was appointed to this role from 1 May 2006.
