The Diocesan Priestly Vocations Service helps men to reflect on whether God may be calling them to the priesthood. It has two areas of activity: firstly, it supports men who feel that they wish to become priests from the early stages of their discernment, through their studies in seminary, to the moment of their ordination; secondly, it promotes priestly vocations in schools, parishes, and university chaplaincies within the context of the common vocation of all Christians to follow Christ.
The Service is coordinated by Father Paul Grogan, the Priestly Vocations Director; he is assisted by the Priestly Vocations Promotion Team. Together they seek to work with priests, teachers and parents to foster a culture of vocation in the diocese. The Service is part of the Diocesan Vicariate for Clergy.
