Opening Doors in Bramley
29th March 2018
Christ the King Parish's SVP organised a special Mass for about 20 housebound parishioners. Afterwards they were helped by the Mini-Vinnies from Christ the King Catholic Primary School in serving high tea and tidying up afterwards.
It was an enjoyable event for all who were there and much appreciated by those who have difficulties getting to Mass. The social afterwards also gave a chance to meet friends not seen for a while.
The SVP plan to do this Mass and social on a regular basis, with the assistance of the Mini Vinnies.
Being unable to get out and about, socialise and attend Mass in your own parish must feel isolating; congratulations to Christ the King, Bramley, the SVP, and the school's Mini-Vinnies for this initiative! Stories from YOUR Parish (accompanied by a couple of photographs) are always welcome for our Diocesan website and for our Annual Review.
