10.15 am The glories of Plainsong
Work on beautiful Gregorian chant, both unaccompanied and accompanied, learning how to read and perform this important part of Catholic musical heritage with confidence and style.
11.00 am Break
11.10 am 21st-century Polyphony
An exciting new piece by John Duggan, to be given its first performance at Mass.
12 noon Mass in Leeds Cathedral
Music prepared during the morning sessions will be sung at Mass, under the direction of John Duggan and accompanied by Cathedral Organist, David Pipe,on the Cathedral’s magnificent Klais organ.
Admission is free to all, but places are limited and need to be booked in advance. When you have booked your place, the music will be sent to you so that you have the opportunity to look at it in advance.
