To work for interreligious dialogue throughout the diocese so that relations with peoples of other faiths becomes a constitutive element in the Church’s mission of proclaiming the Gospel.

The Commission offers advice, support and training in all aspects of interreligious dialogue to the priests and people of the Diocese. It welcomes the support and advice of all those priests and laity who already work in the field of interreligious dialogue and relations in the Vicariates, organisations, schools and parishes of the Diocese. It seeks opportunities to work ecumenically with other Christians in this aspect of the evangelising mission of the Church.
