A week when the whole country is invited to take note of and celebrate the importance of marriage. From 7th February to 14th February families, parishes and schools are invited to celebrate the married people who are at the heart of their communities. One lovely way to begin the week is the Mass for Marriage that Bishop Arthur will celebrate on 4th February.

Bishop Arthur will celebrate a Mass for Marriage at the Cathedral in Leeds just before National Marriage Week. Everybody's welcome, including married and engaged couples and their families and friends. No matter how long or short a time you have been together there will be an opportunity to renew your commitment to your wedding vows.

To mark the start of the 2012 European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity of Generations, the Commission presented a new Eurobarometer survey showing that 71% of Europeans are aware that Europe's population is getting older, but only 42% are concerned about this development.
