A Trinity Talk with Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire

On Friday 24 November, Leeds Trinity University is delighted to welcome Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire.

Mairead, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1976 for her work to bring an end to the violence in Northern Ireland, will speak as part of Leeds Trinity University's prestigious Trinity Talk lecture series. She will talk about her involvement with ‘The Troubles’ in Northern Ireland, how she set up the Community of Peace People, organising weekly peace marches and demonstrations, and her ongoing work to promote dialogue between divided communities and strengthening women and children’s rights around the world.

An accomplished speaker, Mairead’s Trinity Talk promises to be inspiring, thought-provoking and certainly one not to miss.

The event begins at 6.00pm, followed by a performance from the Leeds Trinity Cathedral Children’s Choir at 7.30pm, and a light buffet and wine reception from 7.45 until 9.00pm.

Tickets cost £8.00pp and can be purchased at www.maireadcorriganmaguire.eventbrite.co.uk. Tickets are expected to sell out for this event.
