Every year the Blessed Oscar Romero Trust organise a short speaking tour for a prominent Latin American to speak about Romero. The Justice & Peace Commission have secured a presentation of this year's lecture in Leeds.

It is to be given by Ruben Zamora. He is the former El Salvadoran representative at the United Nations and Ambassador to the USA and has held several key posts in El Salvador. He is currently an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His lecture will explore El Salvador today in the context of Romero's life and actions in solidarity with the poor.

This event is free  but it would be a big help if you could take two minutes to register by going to our Eventbrite page

....and this lecture follows the news of March 7th that Pope Francis has confirmed the sainthood of Oscar Romero.
