Foundations in Faith is a course of Catholic Faith Formation
and incorporates the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies (CCRS)
Foundations in Faith is a two-year basic course of adult formation in the Catholic faith offered by the Vicariate for Evangelisation in the Diocese of Leeds. It aims to help people deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and develop their understanding of the teaching of the Catholic Church.
The course seeks to:
- Provide spiritual and theological formation for
people involved in different aspects of the
Church's life and ministry. - Offer a comprehensive training for catechists.
- Assist the formation of Catholic teachers and
people working in Catholic schools, especially
those with responsibility for Catholic ethos,
religious education and spirituality. - Enable any interested person to study
and learn more about the Catholic faith.
Course Content
The course follows the modular structure and content of CCRS, the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies, validated by the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales.

Course Delivery
The next course begins in September 2010 at Hinsley Hall, Leeds.
Each module consists of five two-hour sessions to be delivered on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm until 9.30 pm, with a 15 minute break in between.
