July 3rd, 2008 - Bishop Arthur Announces Summer Moves
Bishop Arthur has announced the changes in the appointments of his priests which will take place during the summer. Changes are always triggered by a number of considerations and this year a number of retirements, the departure of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate from the diocese, and the implementation of pastoral plans following consultations have all impacted on the changes. In a letter to the priests of the dicoese, the Bishop wished those retiring, and Fr. Michael McGhee OMI, many happy years in their new stage of life. Also this summer Fr. Paul Redmond, a priest of the diocese who has been on loan to a Swedish diocese, is to return and take up an appointment in Leeds.
