  Benjamin Saunders – Diocesan Director of Music

Benjamin Saunders was organ scholar of Downing College, Cambridge and sub-organist at the cathedrals of St Giles’ Edinburgh and Blackburn before becoming Assistant Director of Music at Chester Cathedral in 1998. Since 2002 he has been Director of Music for the Diocese of Leeds with overall responsibility for all the choirs and liturgical music in over 90 schools and 130 parishes.   Christopher McElroy – Assistant Diocesan Director of Music

Christopher McElroy has previously held posts at Wakefield and Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedrals and in the United States as Director of Music for a catholic parish in New Jersey. He has special responsibility for the management of the Diocesan programme in Primary and Secondary Schools. From the many ensembles he works with, a new prize winning Bradford Girls' Choir has recently been established.



  Christopher Johns – Choral Director

Christopher Johns was educated at Cambridge University. He was subsequently organ scholar at Durham Cathedral and completed his doctorate studies at Durham University. He is responsible for the delivery of the Bradford Youth Choir programme to primary schools and also leads the Bradford Boys Choir.



  Charlotte Kitson - Choral Director

Charlotte is a member of the National Youth Choir and sings regularly with the Rodolfus choir.  She leads singing in Keighley and Huddersfield primary schools, and is responsible for delivery of the DFES Cathedral outreach program to primary schools in Leeds.



  Julie Tanner - Assistant Organist

Julie Tanner is Head Teacher of Wakefield Tutorial Preparatory School. She is holds diplomas from the Royal College of Organists.



  Claudine Tat – Music Department Administrator

Claudine Tat is responsible for most of the logistical, financial and data collection matters associated with the Diocesan choral programme. She can be contacted regarding auditions, external concert bookings, CD sales, appointments and all general enquiries via the music office between 10.30am and 3.30pm Monday-Thursday during term time.



  Daniel Rathbone - Organ Scholar

Daniel Rathbone is a post graduate student studying with Graham Cummings at the University of Huddersfield. He was formerly a chorister at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral.



  Choral Conducting Scholar


  Lynne Howie - Singing Teacher

Lynne Howie is an experienced vocal coach, specialising in children's voices. She gives private tuition to the choristers by arrangement.
