the Parish Section of the Catechesis and Religious Education Service
OUR KEY AIMS IN THE SERVICE OF PARISHES ARE: 1. To promote and support the ministry of parish sacramental catechesis 2. To develop and support the provision of Children’s Liturgy of the Word 3. To promote the provision of adult formation for the growth in faith and discipleship of each member of the community 4. To provide opportunities of formation and training for ministry and mission Linda Pennington is the Religious Education Advisor who is responsible for Parish Catechetics. This includes sacramental preparation for Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA/Journey in Faith), the Children’s Catechumenate and Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW).
