Today

The Catholic Church understands that catechesis – meant here to embrace all kinds of formation in faith – is the work of the whole community of the faithful. To be involved in catechesis is to ‘echo’ the person of Jesus Christ and his Gospel, to ‘hand on’ the Catholic faith with authenticity and joy.

Some people have a special part to play - the Bishop, the clergy, people appointed as catechists, and CARES. But it belongs to the mission of the whole community. We all have a part to play in handing on the faith.
